The Concho Valley PAWS Second Chance Rescue Program assists pet owners in rehoming a pet they are no longer able to keep as part of their family. There are many reasons owners feel unable to continue to provide a home.
We urge the public to contact us first before surrendering their pet to the city shelter. No pet is guaranteed an opportunity for adoption and may be euthanized for space.
The Second Chance Program allows us to assist the public in their efforts to rehome their pet when our facility and foster homes are full instead of turning pets away.
The program is simple and effective, but requires your commitment to continue to shelter, feed and care for the pet while we look for an appropriate home.
We care about your pet and want to help you place your pet in a home where it will be loved. We want your pet to go to a home where its new guardians will be committed to making the pet a new member of their family.
