About Our Auction

This is Concho Valley PAWS 9th annual holiday auction. We hope that you find our auction a great, fun way to support the life-saving programs of Concho Valley PAWS. PAWS not only facilitates a robust adoption program for San Angelo's shelter pets, but we also provide low-cost spay and neuter programs, pet rehoming assistance programs, a pet food pantry, assistance with emergency veterinary care and various other educational and support programs for pets and the people who love them.

Concho Valley PAWS is a 501c3 non-profit organization. While we are not a city entity, PAWS works with the City of San Angelo to improve and save the lives of shelter pets. By working together, Concho Valley PAWS and the animal shelter have implemented life-saving programs that have allowed us to save over 80% of the animals that enter the shelter.

About Concho Valley PAWS

Concho Valley PAWS is a San Angelo based 501c3 non-profit animal advocacy and rescue organization. The PAWS mission is to end the euthanasia of adoptable pets by providing quality adoption services, low-cost spay and neuter programs and community education. Every dollar raised from our community donations and fundraisers goes directly to the care of the animals as our salaries and administrative costs are covered by a private source specifically for that purpose.

Each year, Concho Valley PAWS rescues and rehomes over 1,000 cats and dogs. Without our rescue programs, these animals would have otherwise been destroyed. PAWS also funded over 2,500 free and low-cost spay and neuter procedures.

When PAWS embarked on this journey to end euthanasia in 2009, the San Angelo Animal Shelter was one of the highest kill shelters in the state with a kill rate of over 80%. That meant that over 80% of the animals the shelter processed were destroyed. We are happy to report that we have successfully ended the euthanasia of adoptable pets and this year 82% of the animals that entered the shelter left alive - through adoption programs, transfer programs or were redeemed by owners!

In order to continue to help the animals in our community, we need the support of animal lovers near and far. So please, visit the auction and bid. It's a fun, rewarding way to help save a life. Each auction item will come with a letter stating that the item came from a charity auction. That way if you decide to give an item as a gift, the receiver will know that your gift purchase helped save a life.
